Māpua Boat Club
The Māpua Boat Club was formed by a group of interested people who wished to save the wharf from demolition and has continued to be run for the enjoyment of people who have a love of the sea and boating. The boat club is the guardian of the wharf and maintains the facilities for the benefit of all.
Māpua Boat Club provide the following:
Moorings - 2 on long term lease one for short term visitors and emergencies.
A grid for boats to dry out and/or perform emergency repairs.
Boat Ramp for emergency landing, wharf maintenance, sea cadets and early morning launching and retrieval of boats.
Annual kids fishing competition, Regatta and Garage sale.
Club room available for hire at reasonable rates
Shower and washing machine, small charge applies.
Library for members
Club social nights
The Club meets every Thursday night from 5.30 pm and the bar is open from 5.30 – 7.00 pm. Regular guest speakers.
We welcome new members who are all sorts of boat owners, regular users of the Māpua Wharf, and those who just want to protect the character of the wharf as a public space for all to enjoy.
