Hamish’s Ice Cream’s & Cafe

No trip to the Māpua Wharf would be complete without a real fruit ice cream from Hamish's. 

Named after our long term resident white heron our friendly cafe offers a choice of over 20 flavours of ice cream, including real fruit concoctions using locally grown berries.

Our outdoor seating area extends out towards the water where visitors can sit and enjoy one of our casual lunches or burgers while taking in the view of the tide filling and emptying the estuary.   

Come in for a pot of tea, a coffee and toasted sandwich, burger or a fancy cake.
